Pocket Filter

The TF series pocket filters from WALTER are suitable for separating very fine and light dusts in many applications. Almost all types of dust can be easily separated with this dry separator. The filter elements are cleaned with pulse-jet cleaning in on and offline mode. Through their modular design, they can be very flexibly adapted to different requirements such as dust accumulation, dust quality or extraction air volume, etc. The robust dry separators enable trouble-free 24-hour continuous operation at constant air throughput.

Applications

  • Automotive industry
  • Metal processing
  • Plastics processing
  • Electrical engineering
  • Recycling industry
  • Chemical industry
  • Pharmaceutical industry

Operating Principle

The filter operates according to the downflow principle. The dust-laden air (raw gas) flows through the inlet opening into the filter housing and through the filter elements from outside to inside, with dust particles being separated on the filter surface. The cleaned air (clean gas) flows out of the separator through the clean gas outlet and is either returned to the workspace (recirculated air) or discharged outdoors (exhaust air), depending on exhaust air quality.

The compressed air pulse cleaning is controlled by differential pressure or time via a programmable controller. The dust deposited on the filter elements is thus continuously cleaned off during operation and falls into the dust collection hopper.

Standard dust disposal is in a dust collection container. However, other disposal systems can also be connected, such as a rotary valve with big bag, screw conveyors, on-site containers, etc.

Variants

The TF series pocket filters are available in various versions:

  • In modular design up to approx. 10,000 m³/h per module
  • Customer-specific designs, depending on installation situation
  • In Ex-protected design
